Maziak Celebrates National Apprenticeships Week 2022

National Apprenticeship Week 2022 is the 15th annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships. It is intended to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.  The theme is 'build the future'; reflecting on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills.

Here’s why Maziak wants to join in the celebrations!  We have had an apprenticeship scheme for over 30 years and the majority of our Engineers began their careers as apprentices, with us or elsewhere.  We are already talking to Tresham College about our next intake in September.  Apprentices are key to our past, present and future success. James Maziak was a key driver in the recently launched BCAS Compressed Air and Vacuum Technician (CAVT) scheme.  This apprenticeship standard has filled a gap in the future development of engineering technicians within the compressed air industry.  It is a top quality, tailored offering that will benefit future engineers, their employers and their customers!

Maziak is proud of the quality of the service we offer our customers and we are able to do this by investing time, focus and energy in the training and development of our engineers, starting with our commitment to our apprenticeship scheme.  The breadth and depth of skills of this awesome team keeps our customers running at optimum efficiency 24/7.

A word from James our MD:

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”
Nelson Mandela

In the main, compressed air courses are voluntary and we need to reinforce the value they can bring.  I was passionate about my role in delivering  the BCAS Compressed Air and Vacuum Technician (CAVT) scheme in 2021. The key to its success will be the commitment of the likes of Maziak and our peers to take on apprentices within the scheme.  I am very proud of the number of apprentices we have trained and the fact that we have retained such a large number over the years.  Our engineers are the lifeblood of our business and our survival and success depends on the quality of their technical skills, experience and attitude.  I have no doubt we have a superb team whose focus it is to deliver excellence day in day out to our customers.

We keep our customers running 24/7 whatever the complexity of their systems.  Compressed air, nitrogen generation and so much more.  It’s all in the training!
