Offering ideal solutions across a variety of applications
Nitrogen gas has multiple applications thanks to its unreactive nature, making it a safe option for environments involving extreme temperatures a mixture of chemicals.
Nitrogen gas is added to a SMT reflow oven because of its inert nature. The presence of nitrogen ensures that the soldering process is free from oxygen, which would otherwise create an oxide layer that can lead to problems with quality and the machine itself.
On-site nitrogen generation means higher quality soldering, as the owner will have more control over air purity, which is critical for ensuring that quality soldering is taking place and also helps reduce operating costs. Generating nitrogen on-site is also easier to integrate into existing systems and ensures a lower carbon footprint overall.
Nitrogen gas helps keep moisture out of airplane tyres which protects them from corrosion compared to if regular atmospheric air was to be used. Nitrogen also promotes consistent pressure as it does not permeate through the tyres as quickly as oxygen, meaning the ideal pressure is maintained for longer.
Nitrogen gas is also a much safer option to use for tyres compared to oxygen which is highly flammable when exposed to a heat source.
We’ve also installed on-site nitrogen generators for use in preventing user contamination from radiation when using radioactive materials in laboratory glove boxes. If you would like more information about the applications of nitrogen, you can get in touch with using the information below.
