Peace and Quiet as well as Peace of Mind in the Dentist’s Chair!

Amsel & Wilkins Dental Practice is a modern family dental surgery based in Banbury. It has been established for more than 40 years and offers a full range of general, restorative and cosmetic dentistry. The team there comprises seven resident dentists; a visiting dentist with a special interest in periodontics; an oral surgeon and four hygienists.  Dental grade air is required for 9 chairs within the practice.  Amsel & Wilkins have been a Maziak customer since 2010 with a service contract for regular servicing and maintenance and to guarantee urgent support of such critical machinery to their business.  Following a routine service and the failure of a motor due to old age, it was agreed that rather than replace the motor, a new machine should be installed.  Not least because the old compressor was no longer fit for purpose and extremely loud and intrusive—vibrations could be felt in the room above!

Maziak recommended an MGF PureAir Silenced Cabinet with Membrane Dryer.  Its specification is as follows: suitable for 1-9 Chairs, 78 to 450 L/min @ 5 Bar, 50-56 dB(A) and 24-90 Ltr Receivers.  This provides the practice with the optimum volume of air that complies with HTM 2022 Dental Quality Air requirements. In addition, the control panel makes it extremely easy to operate and drain, unlike the old machine.  The acoustic cabinet contains noise from the compressor and is also compact and frees up space.  Maziak’s in-house expert also provided a new Written Scheme to ensure full compliance with the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations.

Installed in just a couple of hours, Amsel & Wilkins’ air solution has leapt into the 21st century in terms of energy efficiency, practicality and ease of use.  With their ongoing service contract they continue to have the peace of mind that Maziak will keep them running and able to look after their customers but they have gained much needed peace and quiet as well!
