NPH Nitrogen Purifier: What to Expect

The Maziak team have an exciting development to announce. Our range of industrial nitrogen generation solutions have got a new addition, known as the Atlas Copco Nitrogen Purifier that functions via Hydrogen (NPH). With the unveiling of this product comes the introduction of a two-stage high-purity nitrogen generation process, which can lead up to 40% feed air savings, and significantly reduce energy usage and costs.

What does the NPH Nitrogen Purifier offer?

The NPH is designed to complement new and existing nitrogen generation systems that we supply. The standard procedure has always involved a compressor to supply the feed air and a nitrogen generator which removes oxygen from the air, leaving behind essentially pure nitrogen that is suited for a variety of industrial applications. One of the key advantages of on-site nitrogen generation is that users can select the exact purity to meet the specific requirements of their application- typically up to 99.999% purity for PSA generators. However, producing higher levels of purity requires significantly more energy which can become costly.

This is where the NPH nitrogen purifier revolutionises the process.

By introducing two-stage nitrogen generation, the NPH is able to boost lower-purity nitrogen produced by a generator to a purity of 99.999% or more. This is due to the process involving the use of hydrogen, which reacts with the residual oxygen in the nitrogen, ensuring greater purity of the nitrogen being produced and higher energy efficiency overall.

Benefits and features of the NPH Nitrogen Generator

The NPH Nitrogen Purifier has been solely designed for the purpose of facilitating the generation of high-purity nitrogen in the most energy efficient way possible. Thus, this product has been designed with the following benefits:

Up to 40% savings on feed air

Generators have always needed a substantial amount of compressed air to remove remaining traces of oxygen in order for pure nitrogen to be extracted, and this is a process that can consume high levels of energy.

The NPH Nitrogen Purifier has been designed to combat this issue by producing lower-purity nitrogen, and saving up to 40% in air and energy that would otherwise be needed. This provides the perfect opportunity for small compressor and generator setups to be used to achieve desired purity, reducing carbon emission and operational costs in the process.

Fully Automated Operation

Elektronikon® Touch Controller

The NPH comes equipped with the advanced Elektronikon® Touch controller. Designed by Atlas Copco, this piece of technology avoids the overuse of hydrogen by monitoring how much is used by the purifier. Thus, eliminating the use for manual intervention and making the whole system increasingly user-friendly.

Feed Nitrogen Check & Restore

The NPH Nitrogen Purifier has been built with a system that checks the outlet of nitrogen to ensure that quality and purity of the gas is as desired by the end-user. The system also some with an overflow protection feature and automatic start and standby modes to optimise performance as much as possible and avoid waste of resources.

The NPH Nitrogen Purifier has been built to suit a wide range of capacities, from 20 to 400 Nm³/h, making it the ideal equipment to have on-site for industries with diverse nitrogen requirements. You can find out more about the features and benefits of the NPH Nitrogen Purifier by clicking here.

The NPH Nitrogen Generator has been designed for versatility and seamless integration into existing nitrogen generation systems.
